Welcome to PreHealthAdmit

Physician Assistant (PA) School Information and Searchable Database

PreHealthAdmit has one of the most complete sets of PA school data available and our powerful search tools will allow you to find programs that are the best fit for you.

However, we are not currently updating the information so please be cautious in using the data. It still may be helpful as a first screen. You can confirm information on school websites. There are also other search tools available online.

When we first created PreHealthAdmit, we were hoping it would become a valuable, widely used resource for PA applicants. While we are proud of the site and content we have created, it hasn’t gained very many users.

As a result, we’ve reluctantly made the decision to suspend regular program information updates. We’ll continue to make corrections and updates as we come upon them, but there won’t be a regular annual review.

We plan to keep the website live through the end of 2025, and perhaps longer. We will be monitoring usage, and if traffic picks up, we may go back to regular updates and creating more content.

Access to the full site and all of our search tools is now free. You’ll still need to add the ToolKit to your cart and checkout but you will not be charged and will not be asked for credit card information.

We hope you continue to find PreHealthAdmit useful.

You can give us feedback by using the “Report an Issue” link in the top right menu of the site.

Update

Thank you for testing our site! We are excited that we are close to making this available to everyone. We currently have about 120 programs in the database and we’re adding more every day.

Although we believe the information on each school is accurate, review is still ongoing. Please do not rely on it for making important decisions at this point.

Here’s the latest as of February 20:

Here are the issues we are aware of:

  • Does not display well on mobile and tablets.
  • Various minor formatting issues – spacing, sizing, etc.
  • Limited content besides the database.
  • Some pages load slowly.

Please let us know if you see any problems related to:

  • Functionality – links that don’t work, searches that don’t give the expected results, etc.
  • Incorrect or missing data for a program.
  • Typos, unclear wording, etc.

Our short-term plans for improving the site:

  • Create tutorials and improve the instructions for using the database and search tools.
  • Continue adding more programs.
  • Create more content.
  • Improve formatting.
  • Improve performance.

Instructions and Tips

Use this page to search for programs based on prerequisites.

Here’s some tips:

  • After searching, make sure you also review the detailed notes, recommendations and requirements on the school detail page and/or the compare prerequisite page.
  • Check one or more boxes within each group of fields to narrow the search results down.
  • Select every checkbox up to and including your target requirement. For example, if you have one semester of chemistry, check “None” also to make sure you don’t exclude those programs with no requirement.
  • The search criteria are only applied to programs that have that specific requirement. For example, if a program has a requirement for “1 semester of chemistry required and a lab is recommended”, this school will satisfy the “1 semester required” option.
  • Some programs have requirements for any combination of courses of one type, for example “2 total courses of any chemistry subject”. For the purposes of this search, that would not be treated as a requirement, but you’ll need to be aware that you need to closely look at each program’s detailed requirements.
  • Use the Add/Remove buttons to fine-tune your list of programs.

Instructions and Tips

Use this page to search for programs based on general criteria.

Here’s some tips:

  • Check one or more boxes within each group of fields to narrow the search results down.
  • For certain numerical searches (such as Minimum GPA), if the program does not have a minimum, it is considered a zero. Make sure you include zero in your range of values so that they show up in your search.
  • The tuition search uses our estimate of total cost of attendance for non-residents including tuition, fees and living expenses.
  • You’ll probably want to start with more boxes checked and start with a short list of results. Uncheck boxes to expand the list.
  • Use the Add/Remove buttons to fine-tune your list of programs.

An example of how to maximize the effectiveness of your search: let’s say you don’t want to take any standardized tests:

  • Check every box under Test(s) Required that does not have “required” in it. for example “None”, “GRE Recommended”, “PA-CAT Recommended”, etc.
  • Leave blank any box that has a “required” test, such as “GRE Required”, “PA-CAT Required”, “GRE Required and PA-CAT Recommended”, etc.

This will make sure you only filter for programs that have no requirement for a standardized test.
